Once upon a time, there was a boy named Timmy. Timmy loved to spend his days outdoors, wandering through fields and gardens. He had a peculiar habit of stopping to pick up any stray sesame seeds he came across, even if it meant neglecting other tasks or responsibilities.
One day, while out on one of his walks, Timmy came across a large, ripe watermelon lying in a field. The watermelon was so big and sweet-looking that Timmy could hardly believe his eyes. But, instead of going over to examine it, he continued to search for stray sesame seeds, completely ignoring the watermelon.
His friends and family tried to point out his mistake, but Timmy couldn’t see it. He was too focused on his little obsession to pay attention to anything else. He would say things like “Sesame seeds are important too, you know!” or “I’ll get to the watermelon later, I just want to finish picking up these seeds first.”
As the days went by, Timmy’s obsession with sesame seeds only grew stronger. But, the watermelon, left alone in the field, eventually went bad and was no longer fit to eat. Timmy eventually realized that he had missed out on something important, and that he should have paid more attention to the bigger picture.
From that day on, Timmy made a conscious effort to balance his interests and not to let his obsession with small things cloud his judgement. He learned that while it was important to pay attention to the little things in life, it was equally important to not neglect the bigger issues that truly mattered.
